Sparrow Friends social network is updated!

February 1st, 2012

way back in 2010 I started an online mom group where local moms could connect, ask each other questions, post pics, start groups and basically have fun with it. It got a little side tracked as I went through some transitions with Sparrow and which direction to take the company into.

ultimately I decided to shutter the shop and concentrate on an online shop exclusively.

so here I am in 2012, and its going to be an exciting time for Sparrow. I have rebooted the Sparrow Friends social network!

a place where moms can  make new friends, post pics ,start groups, discuss, but most of all have fun!

all this from the comfort of your PJ’s !!

So mosey on over to www.sparrowfriends.ning.com

and see what the fun is all about.

love,Terrie

January 21st, 2012

last sunday Brian, Amelia and I went to Little Tokyo. there in the courtyard was a charming display of well wishes for the new year. For a $1.00 donation, (all proceeds going to Japan Relief) you could tie a colorful piece of paper with your wishes for 2012 and some well wishes to the victims of the Japan quake…

Elves Faire is coming….

November 3rd, 2011

Pasadena Waldorf schools’ breathtaking campus is transformed into the fairyland populated by gnomes, elves, fairies and medieval folks. These are not Santa’s elves, but rather friends of the Hobbit, think Middle Earth. The happenings include the Angel Room – where children enter with an angel friend and get to select a gift — the Jack Frost Bake Shoppe, the Doll House, the Fairies’ Feast and the Tea Party, as well as unique children’s games, crafts, puppet shows, music, artisans, raffle and silent auction, and food from local restaurants.

Kids can take a seat at shaded picnic tables and make such things as photo frames, fairies, beeswax candles, sand art and dream catchers. Games are lively and creative: kid-style.

The Pasadena Waldorf School is a private school serving children from kindergarten through eighth grade located on a bucolic and historic campus in Altadena. Parking is on the surrounding streets; plan for a drop-off or leave yourself plenty of time to walk several blocks to the school, particularly if you have little ones.
